I don't want my lips to just whine and complain. I want my lips to praise the Father, thanking Him for all the gifts he lays in my path. Even on the rocky ones, there are gifts ~ stepping stones to lead you over the muck and mire. When you do fall and get dirty, the showers of grace that cleanse. When your knees get scraped or your heart ~ the healing touch of the Father.
All you have to do is look up and around . . .focus your vision and recognize the gifts. . .and even when you're down...look around...He's so good, he even has gifts down there too. . .untie those bows. . .

So beautiful Kristin! I'm totally with you on the last two entries! (Each morning I unwrap a huge gift of grace and God's promises.. we'll get her through somehow and you'll do the same for your son) I'm sure you'll be a wonderful mentor.

Kristin, I loved your list today. I, too, pulled a lot of ribbons and unwrapped a lot of gifts this week. . . . but unfortunately, my lips still found time to whine and complain! How can this be????? Sometimes I think it's all habit --- one that needs desparately to be broken and silenced once and for all.
ReplyDeleteMentoring! If EVER there was a time in history that we need good, Godly mentors, it's now. If God has called you, He will give you whatever it is to do the job. I'll be praying for you about this. From what I've read on your blog in the short time I've known you, I can truly say I and one who would LOVE to have you for a mentor!!!!! Go for it. NOTHING is ever wasted that is poured into another life --- especially those things that have eternal value attached to them!
And 358??? REALLY special for me, too. I have a mockingbird that sings 24 hours a day, nonstop!
